Vani Jairam sounds absolutely breathtaking in the blissful bhajan Narayana, the arrangements too appropriately complementing the serene composition. Young singer Karthik Suresh does complete justice in the second charanam as well. Thuli Thuliyay takes you back in time with its gorgeous retro orchestration, the enchanting melody appearing in two separate versions sung by Vinaya and Kaushiki Chakrabarty alongside the composer. Unnikrishnan sprinkles his magical voice over the hauntingly tuned Western classical Vinkadantha and the minimalist arrangements make it all the more mesmerising to listen. Of the four instrumental pieces that follow, the piano-backed Mystic Mind is alluring, while the theme song is wonderfully pleasant to the ears, even as English Notes and One to Zero turn out to be fabulous showcases of the Western classical style of music. Ramesh Vinayakam concocts a musical masterpiece with Ramanujan. A genius of a soundtrack for a film based on the mathematical genius!
